Hallway Hoofers is a wellness and fitness application used to participate in the Valley Heights walking competition. This Privacy Policy explains what information Hallway Hoofers uses and how that information is handled.

Apple Health Information

Hallway Hoofers may request permission to read your Step Count from Apple Health.

Access to Apple Health information occurs only after you grant permission through Apple’s authorization system. You can change or revoke this permission at any time through your iPhone’s privacy and Apple Health settings.

Hallway Hoofers uses step information only to provide the walking-challenge features requested by the participant.

Hallway Hoofers does not use Apple Health information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

Hallway Hoofers does not sell Apple Health information.

Information We Collect

When you participate in Hallway Hoofers, the service may receive:

• Your participant or display name.
• Your authorized step total from Apple Health.
• A participant identifier used to associate your step submissions with your competition entry.
• Information necessary to process and secure communications between the app and the Hallway Hoofers server.

How Information Is Used

Hallway Hoofers uses this information only to:

• Record your participation in the walking challenge.
• Calculate your step total.
• Calculate competition standings and rankings.
• Display competition results.
• Maintain and secure the Hallway Hoofers service.
• Diagnose technical problems with the service.

Competition Leaderboard

Your participant/display name, step total, and competition ranking may be visible to other authorized Hallway Hoofers participants as part of the walking competition.

Hallway Hoofers does not use competition information for advertising or marketing.

Sharing of Information

Hallway Hoofers sends the information needed to operate the walking competition to the Valley Heights Hallway Hoofers server.

We do not sell participant information.

We do not provide Apple Health information to advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing companies.

Advertising and Tracking

Hallway Hoofers does not contain advertising.

Hallway Hoofers does not use Apple Health information for advertising.

Hallway Hoofers does not track participants across applications or websites for advertising purposes.

Accounts

Hallway Hoofers does not require a conventional online account with a username and password. Participant information is used only to identify a participant in the Hallway Hoofers walking competition.

Data Retention and Deletion

Competition information is retained only as reasonably necessary to operate and maintain the Hallway Hoofers competition and related historical records.
